2007/09/04 Forest fires active in Portugal, with the most significant phenomenon. Phenomenon with more than 10 vehicles or with more than two hours of duration or if the fires are into a protected area or in a forest perimeter with houses and infrastructures in danger.

2007/09/04 Map of the classrooms of forest fire risk observed by commune en Portugal.
The Portugal Meteorology Institute uses the meteorological index takan from the Canadian system FWI( Fire Weather Index).
This information is incorporate to the cyclical risk of the General Direction of Forest Resources ( areas affected by fires in the last years, quantity of combustible...).
There are five classes of fire risk:
1.Reduced
2.Moderated
3.High
4.Very High
5.Maximum
