The aim of this visit is related to the research in the field of ecology, vegetation and prescribed burning in bushes and peat. In what concernes the Fire Paradox project, he will also collect information for the database of fuel categorization.

2008/09/21 Exit of the GAUF/Fire Paradox plane of the Lousã base Due to the decrease of the fire risk, the GAUF / Fire Paradox plane, went out of the Lousã base to return to the Santa Cruz Aerodrome, where it usually stays. The plane is still equipped with the visible and infra-red spectrum camera and it is operational in case of wildfire.
